Cemetery Custodian

Can you help us provide a sensitive and professional cemetery service? Would you like to work in a small team, committed to providing an excellent service to our customers?

 

Our team of cemetery custodians needs a new member to help them with the day-to-day operation of our cemeteries. You will be an active member of the team, happy to help when needed and able to work independently as well as in a team.

 

About the role

You will be involved in a variety of duties including:

  • grave preparation
  • supervising funeral services in the cemetery
  • driving dumper trucks
  • and operating mechanical diggers.

You should also be able to prepare graves by hands if necessary.

 

About you

You will have good communications skills, and as you expect you will need sensitivity and diplomacy as you work with our customers in difficult circumstances. Ideally, you will have knowledge relating to health and safety at work but don’t worry if not, as we can help with that.
