Community Support and Events Officer
Full time. Salary: £27,646 – £29,403
Are you a creative, well organised person with experience in organising events/engagement campaigns, who will have an overseeing role in the creation in promotional material and who relishes a challenge?
About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Community Support Services team and make a positive contribution to the residents of the borough by taking the lead and organising community events which will include working with community partners. These events raise the profile of the services delivered by Community Support Services. The role will also be involved with the promotion campaign of these events and will be very hands on at the events and is also required to evaluate, review and monitor the effectiveness of promotional campaigns and events.
This role will also be responsible for developing and managing the marketing an engagement plan and will have line management responsibility for the Marketing and Communication Officer.
Another element of the role is to develop and co-ordinate the Community Support Services training programme for the division.
Support will also be provided by this post to the Head of Community Support services with regards to producing reports, developing and coordinating projects, supporting forums and meetings with minute taking, preparing funding applications and reviewing areas of activity and to support the managers of the Centres for the Communities.
The applicant will also be required to take an enhanced DBS disclosure
You are a creative, strong practical hands on self-starter with experience in organising and leading on delivering events and campaigns. You have a passion about promoting the services and activities of Community Support Services and have the ability to work in partnership with health, social care, voluntary sector and local businesses.
You are able to and have good experience in using In Design, Publisher and other MS Office packages.
You can manage multiple competing priorities, projects including producing reports and able to use social media to promote activities
