Our Community Transport service supports children, young people and adults with additional needs and disabilities to access education, Hub Centres and community services safely and comfortably. About the Role
Community Transport currently has two Passenger Assistant opportunities available:
Monday to Friday 4 hours per day with working days agreed according to service needs
As a Passenger Assistant, you will support passengers throughout their journey, assisting with boarding and disembarking, helping to ensure seatbelts and specialist equipment are secured, and providing care and reassurance during transport. Working alongside our Drivers, you will play an important role in delivering a high-quality and safe transport service across the community.
About You
- You will have good literacy and communication skills.
- You will enjoy working with children, young people and adults with additional needs and disabilities.
- You will be patient, caring and committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of passengers at all times.
- You will have the ability to work effectively as part of a team alongside Community Transport Drivers.
- You will have good organisational skills and be able to respond calmly and appropriately in a range of situations.
- You will be willing to undertake relevant training, including passenger assistant and first aid training.
- You will be flexible and able to work split shifts between the hours of 7.00am and 6.00pm, Monday to Friday, where required.
- You will be based at our transport depot at River Mole Business Park, Mill Road, Esher.
