Dementia Service Supervisor

Our Dementia Services provides a day centre group for individuals living with mild to moderate dementia. Our clients, who live either independently or with family members, enjoy a social setting where they can engage in activities such as music, singing, arts and crafts, and quizzes.

This is a role that requires a special type of person; You will have the commitment to care, the dedication to people, as well as the communication and organisational skills to support our clients.

Qualifications and skills:

  • experience in a similar role within dementia services or social care
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • ability to supervise and support a team effectively.
  • knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.

The role

  • The role involves supervising and supporting the Dementia Services Team in the daily operations of the service, ensuring a social day centre approach that promotes independence and inclusivity for clients with mild to moderate dementia.
  • Responsibilities include leading the daily team meetings, providing feedback, maintaining service documentation, and conducting ongoing client reviews.
  • The role also involves supporting staff meetings, maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding practices, and building effective relationships with partners, team members, clients, and carers.
